SPX INLINE LOW FLOW METERS
The SPX Inline Low Flow Meters employ ruby bearings and nickel tungsten carbide shafts to allow the low flow meters to measure very
low minimum flows and provide superior wear characteristics. The SPX Inline Low Flow Meters' polypropylene body is resistant
to many mild chemicals and are available in standard pipe thread sizes from 3/8" to 1" NPT. A transparent acrylic cover
provides visual flow indication for the PVDF rotor element of the chemical resistant low flow meters. The 6-24 VDC pulse
output of the SPX Inline Low Flow Meters is compatible with many different types of PLCs, counters, and a full range of rate
displays and controls.
Application Note: Straight pipe run of at least 5 diameters (10 diameters is preferred) upstream of the inline low flow meter is
recommended. Vertical and horizontal installations are all acceptable for the inline low flow meter.
Are the SPX Inline Low Flow Meters compatible with (acid, caustic, ethylene glycol, etc.)? The main material of the chemical resistant low flow meters is polypropylene, the standard lens is acrylic. These are both good general chemically-resistant materials, but they can't handle many of the stronger chemicals. The Inline Low Flow Meters' rotor is PVDF, the shaft is a nickel-bonded tungsten carbide, similar to a stainless steel in resistance. If the wetted materials used on the Inline Low Flow Meters are questionable, please call for a consultation with our application specialists. |
