Listing Details
The W-23XD water quality sonde brings laboratory accuracy and the ease of push-button operation to water quality instrumentation
measurement in the field. Years of water quality instrumentation technology development have resulted in the form of a 97-mm
diameter water quality sonde: a compact water quality instrument able to offer high pressure tolerance, long-term continuous
measurement capability and highly accurate for the simultaneous monitoring of up to 13 parameters. The water quality sonde can
simultaneously measure: pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, salinity, turbidity, total dissolved solids (TDS), water
depth, oxidation reduction potential (ORP), seawater specific gravity and up to three specific ions. Featuring a powerful water
quality sonde and state-of-the-art functions, the water quality instrumentation makes it easy to get highly reliable water quality
data simply and quickly just by submersing the sensor in the water. The water quality sonde is flexible enough to use for
checking the quality of a broad range of water samples, from factory effluent to urban drainage, river water, lake and marsh water,
aquatic culture tanks, agricultural water supplies, and seawater. The water quality instrumentation is water resistant, so it
can be used safely even in the rain.
Measure Up to 13 Parameters The W-23XD water quality instrumentation can simultaneous measure up to 13 parameters (from pH, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity to seawater specific gravity and a variety of ions) can be obtained - much more quickly and easily than with conventional instruments. With the water quality instrumentation's powerful measurement capabilities, the compact W-23XD water quality sonde is recommended for all water quality researchers and professionals. Automatic Water Quality Sonde Calibration The W-23XD water quality sondes have an automatic calibration function that calibrates the instrumentation simply at the touch of a button for more highly reliable data. What used to be a complicated calibration process is now easy. Just fill the supplied beaker with the standard solution, immerse the water quality sonde and press a button once for one-point calibration for each of the five main parameters pH, conductivity, turbidity, DO, and depth. One point calibration is also available for three ion parameters, Cl-, NO3-, and Ca2+. Two-point calibration is also possible where high precision measurement data is required. Deep Water Quality Measurments With its superior durability and high pressure resistance, the water quality sondes facilitate measurements as far as 100 meters below the water surface. Thus, in addition to rivers, lakes and other shallow bodies, high-precision water quality measurements can now be readily obtained and monitored by the water quality instrumentation at dams, and even in the open sea. Built in Data Logger The W-23XD water quality sonde's built-in memory function enables continuous measurement for as long as one month, just by leaving the sonde submerged in the sample. Personnel do not need to be present during the measurement process, the data can even be captured by personal computers in remote locations. NOTE: Must purchase U-PCDLP to export data to a computer. The standard handheld W-23XD water quality instrumentation system comes with:
