Global Water's SP200 variable speed portable peristaltic pump sampler is ideal for removing samples from shallow wells and surface water, including lakes, ponds, and holding pools.  The water sampler is lightweight, rugged, easy to use, weather resistant, and requires minimal maintenance.  The manually-operated peristaltic pump can backflush the sample hose after a sample has been taken. The SP200 Peristaltic Sampling Pump requires an external 12 volt DC power source that can supply at least 2 A continuous.  The variable speed motor is reversible and can sample at any speed up to 500 mL per minute. A power cord (10 ft/3.05 m) is included with the unit.  The power cord is fitted with alligator clips for easy connection to almost any 12 volt DC battery, such as a car battery or a small 12V, 5 AH gel cell battery. To provide high sample integrity, the SP200 does not allow water samples to contact any peristaltic pump components other than the norprene and polyethylene tubing.  This tubing is easily cleaned or replaced.  To avoid cross contamination or lengthy decontamination procedures, simply change the inexpensive tubing between samples.
